The idea
Most RSS readers show a timeline that keeps growing, and the unread count becomes something to ignore. Flit turns new articles into a small deck of cards. Swipe right to keep one for later, swipe left to let it go, tap to read.
When the deck is empty, you're caught up. There's no algorithm: you follow exactly the sites you choose, along with YouTube channels, podcasts and newsletters.

The gesture
Flit's design is built on one of the most famous interactions in the history of apps: the swipe. Here it clears out the news you don't care about and saves the rest for later.
That makes emptying the Inbox much faster. Then, with no rush, you go back to what interests you or to what you saved.

The community
Flit was built in public, and the community helped define many of its features. The app is full of small easter eggs and choices that came straight from them.
Users worked as beta testers, shaped the app together with us, and some even chipped in with a donation.
